Currently I am a member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.
I am required to do volunteer work to maintain in the club. To get into NHS + NTHS I volunteered
for the 8th grade Open House for SkillsUSA. Participating in this activity helped me develop skills
such as proper communication. I spoke to parents about what SkillsUSA was and how their children
should participate if they were going to join the school because of the experience. I was part of
a club that brought the school together. Being part of NHS now I have volunteered for flower selling,
Giving drinks in the Bay-State Marathon, selling beads to raise money for the California fires and more.
Sophomore year I participated in SkillsUSA in the field of 3D Animation. My partner and I placed 2nd
place in the In-House competition and moved on to districts. Districts we placed 4th place and learned
more about 3D Animation. Junior Year my partner and I are participating in Web Design. We have
placed 3rd in In-House, 2nd place in Districts and am moving on to states.
In Programming and Web I have learned many programming languages and skills. I have skills in:
Experienced Skills: | Intermediate Skills: | Introductory Skills: |
---|---|---|
HTML | GameMaker | Linux - ubuntu |
CSS | MS Access | Blender |
Visual Basic .net | C# .net | Javascript |
I have done many projects in Visual Basic and a few Websites.
http://dragonhunters.azurewebsites.net/
is a website I created for a game my group
created called Dragon Hunters. This website taught me a lot about HTML and CSS.
Creating this website was a great experience because of all the things I learned and
I was able to put my MTA Intro to HTML and CSS Certification to use.
In Visual Basic I know how to use loops, if-then-else and case statements,
how to make GUIs, functions and procedures. I have created many projects that
have to do with all of them such as a Binary Clock or Calculator based on your commution.
